dbowles1975 25 Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 (edited) This is certainly a very minor annoyance considering how well the live TV feature is working now but I've noticed that channel names containing special characters do not show up correctly in the guide on the Fire TV. For instance, A&E shows up as A&E. Is this something that can be fixed? Thanks. Edited March 11, 2017 by dbowles1975
Luke 42077 Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Do they show up correctly in the web app? Thanks.

Luke 42077 Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 ok @@dbowles1975, moving to fire tv section. thanks.
ebr 16169 Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 I thought we had the server stripping that encoding out. Why is it only a problem for the channel names?
Luke 42077 Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 In this case it's & If it is pre-encoded in his channel name then this would be expected behavior, and that might be why the web app is displaying it without a problem.
Solution Luke 42077 Posted March 11, 2017 Solution Posted March 11, 2017 If you use the editor to edit the channel name, what is in the text field? 1
dbowles1975 25 Posted March 11, 2017 Author Posted March 11, 2017 If you use the editor to edit the channel name, what is in the text field? I can't believe I didn't think of this. It was incorrect in the m3u8 and, therefore, incorrect in the guide. This is resolved. Thanks.
