This is certainly a very minor annoyance considering how well the live TV feature is working now but I've noticed that channel names containing special characters do not show up correctly in the guide on the Fire TV. For instance, A&E shows up as A&E. Is this something that can be fixed? Thanks.

If it is pre-encoded in his channel name then this would be expected behavior, and that might be why the web app is displaying it without a problem.

If you use the editor to edit the channel name, what is in the text field?

I can't believe I didn't think of this. It was incorrect in the m3u8 and, therefore, incorrect in the guide. This is resolved. Thanks.
