Emby on the Nintendo Switch ? (Not fully working)

Hello,

 

Today i bought the Nintendo Switch and i still wait for Zelda because it was out of stock >_<

 

Some guys already discovered how to use the hidden browser with the DNS trick, so i lost my time trying this and why not using my favorite app, Emby ?

 

So i use DNSwitch to redirect the wifi connection test to my emby server and i can access emby ! But unfortunately it won't load the video player.

 

I didn't tried youtube but some ppl said it work so i think the html5 player can work, maybe the emby player is not compatible with the old webkit used in the switch ?

Well shame on Nintendo for using such a primitive webkit engine.

And all you can say shame on Nintendo. I mean its a HIDDEN browser so not ment for porductive use yet. NOT even netflix works right now.

As far as I get it you cant even type in a path. So all what makz did was to give another DNS so he could surf the internet. I rather wonder

if it will work, wen you can type in the address of the server yourself. As playing video works fine.

 

With the DNS trick it also can be that emby is confused and thats why it does not work. As far as I understand, you are setting up a DNSswitch

and connecting to emby.media. This will result in a bad connection anyway. But who am I to judge others.

 

I also hope this will be free for user as it can be usefull. Else you always have to change to another device.

Oh, i hope you make an Emby App for switch! Please, i would pay for it!
