pir8radio 1312 Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Are there any clients that do not support SSL now-a-days? I'm thinking of forcing ssl but don't want to if there is a client out there that doesn't support it.
gstuartj 40 Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 I can't confirm the Windows Media Server or older Samsung Smart TV clients support it because I haven't used those two, but the rest definitely support SSL/TLS. DLNA would be local so I assume that's not a consideration.

Swynol 375 Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 i've had no issues with roku, ios, android, ET and web client. i now force ssl with lets encrypt certs
Luke 42078 Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 They all support SSL, the question is will the device accept your cert or not.

Luke 42078 Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 Most will but some older devices may never get support for that if their operating systems are no longer being updated. 1
