WhackOBill 8 Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 One of the updates recently seems to have broken by Run at Startup. Whether it's checked or not, Emby Server doesn't run at startup anymore. I always have to manually run it. Is there a way to fix this? I have checked and saved the option but it doesn't seem to do anything ... checked or not.
Happy2Play 9785 Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 You need to ensure there is a short-cut in your C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup folder to run at startup. You server log may shed so little on why Emby is unable to make that shortcut.
Solution ebr 16195 Posted March 11, 2017 Solution Posted March 11, 2017 Also make sure there aren't two shortcuts in there. I believe if that happens, the server ends up not getting started (or actually shutting itself down). 1
WhackOBill 8 Posted March 11, 2017 Author Posted March 11, 2017 That was it. There was an Emby Server shortcut and a Media Browser Server shortcut. I deleted the older Media Broswer version and things are back to normal. Thanks.
