Ballistic 8 Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Hi all! I often use included subtitles with releases. They are 2 files, a .idx and .sub file. The .idx files has, among other stuff, the following lines; # Language index in use langidx: 0 # English id: en, index: 0 I recently noticed my subtitles stopped working in Kodi and i noticed that in the Emby player subtitle menu, the subtitle shows as "Und" instead of a language. My guess is that this represents "Undefined" This means that Emby does not recognized the subtitle langage. Is this a known problem? Is there a fix?
Solution Luke 42083 Posted March 8, 2017 Solution Posted March 8, 2017 We don't actually read the language from inside the file, we use a naming convention for languages. You can learn more about that here: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Subtitles Reading the .idx language is a possibility for the future. Thanks. 1
Ballistic 8 Posted March 9, 2017 Author Posted March 9, 2017 Ah okay! Thanks for your reply. Maybe its an idea to add an option which makes it possible to set undefined subtitles to a specific language.
