dimitrik 14 Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Not sure if this should be here but it seems to affect several clients: iOS, web client, ET (desktop & windows store), so I'm guessing its about the server. If not maybe then maybe one of the admins could help me out by moving it to the right place? Anyway, as of a couple of weeks ago, the aspect ratio of my thumbs for non-standard items seems to have been 'forced' to Portraid mode. Since my thumbs are all landscape, this makes them look weird. I attach couple of images to show what I mean. Is this intentional? And if so, is there a way to disable it? Right now its not affecting me tremendously, as my client of choice is still Emby for WMC, but I was hoping to migrate to a modern client (ET desktop) soon.
dimitrik 14 Posted March 8, 2017 Author Posted March 8, 2017 In the case of the 1st image I posted, these are auto-generated thumbs (by the server) called 'filename'-poster.jpg For the 2nd image, the thumbs are icons I downloaded from this forum, named Poster.png. Does this help?
Luke 42083 Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Do you have the cover art plugin installed by any chance?
dimitrik 14 Posted March 9, 2017 Author Posted March 9, 2017 No, the only plugins are: Genrecleaner Server restart Server configuration backup TuneIn radio
dimitrik 14 Posted March 10, 2017 Author Posted March 10, 2017 What I find interesting is: 1) despite displaying the thumbs as portrait, the actual "thumb" images are in fact landscape. 2) I have tested this in two servers, one running on my desktop and a test version running on my NAS. In both cases, web client, ET, etc behave this way.
dimitrik 14 Posted March 11, 2017 Author Posted March 11, 2017 On unset libraries and on some odd folders in set libraries e.g. the "Specials" folder on my Films collection.
dimitrik 14 Posted March 13, 2017 Author Posted March 13, 2017 So, am I the only one experiencing this? Does anyone have "unset" folders to check? If I'm the only one then maybe it's a setting thing, though my guess is, I'm not...
Luke 42083 Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 I think there is a specific situation causing this that I'm trying to find. I have a test library with the unset content type and am not seeing this. thanks.
dimitrik 14 Posted March 29, 2017 Author Posted March 29, 2017 Any news? Can I do something to help you track this down?
