Super Newbie Question

Hi folks. I am a very new Emby user. I have my server set up and all seems well. I access the server using any of three Nvidia Shield TV devices that I have in the house. Everything works except I can't figure out how to fast forward and rewind. I am using the nvidia shield tv remote. Kind of funny considering I am a computer systems engineer but I just can't seem to find the option to fast forward and rewind.

 

Do I need a different kind of remote or is there an Android app I can put on the my phone to control Emby and have those functions?

As you're watching a video, press left/right on the Shield remote to jump forward and backward.

Correct.  That is standard operating procedure for most video apps on Android TV.

 

Additionally, if you press just about any other button, you will get an OSD that has both a forward and jump back button on it (first two on the tool bar below the progress).  So you can also use those.
