Unset - Content Type

With "Unset" Content type for a Library is it only "TV" that is available in the inherit drop down in Metadata Manager as i am not seeing movies, music videos etc to assign to a particular library folder?

 

I wanted to have one Library (which has several sub folders and i am only adding one "path") and to assign these as different content types but under the one library by changing the inherit dropdown - if this is not what its for i am a bit puzzled what its use is?

Don't think anyone has done this.  So your plan is creating a unset library and have sub-folders for each content type?  Might be able to manually add them via the system.xml <ContentTypes />  section.

Initial testing shows that changing the content type in system.xml works

 

changed one entry to "movies" and the Content of that directory (after a rescan) shows up as Movies in the content type drop down in Metadata Manager.

 

Also the drop down is populated as follows - not tried changing the type this way yet - i only have one entry in the system.xml file so these others have appeared on their own

 

 

Looking at an individual "movies" item page i was hoping it might have the "Scenes" section - i.e. chapter images - but does not

 

I will try adding some actors and tags to see if i get the "cast & Crew" and "more like this" sections

 

Media info is displayed

movies as i stated above

 

Top dir>sub dir1>movie a  (content for dir movies - manual change by me - in system file)

Nope not for me - no chapters displayed  - chapter extraction happens just not displayed

I set mine test up with Library pointed to Folder named Unset Test.

Music "blank"

Music Videos "blank"

 

Did you enable chapters on the Library?

yes all options are checked per library

 

the exception is "download artwork....." as these are not "real" movies or TV

 

could you try with non movie and tv episode files so there is no metadata to find

 

This is one Stable 3.2.5 - will try 3.2.6 to see if any different

dont bother the chapters are extracted ok - just tried on a new install and they display fine - so going to refresh the problem install to fix the issue - its my test server so probably some issue with changing things a lot
