Has there been a change in how images and metadata are stored?

Until recently, when I added a new movie to my database, Emby Server would retrieve all the appropriate metadata and images and store them in the library and also in the folder containing the movie. If a trailer were available, it would be stored in the folder also. For very recent movies I have added, I see none of the images or metadata info in the movie file folder. Nor are any trailers placed there.

 

Has there been an intentional change or is there a setting I am missing or what else could cause this? Everything looks fine in the library itself, except that there are no trailers of course.

 

I haven't changed any attributes in the movie folders.

Check your library settings as they are now per library, rather than global.

There is a setting in each Library now for saving artwork and metadata locally.

OK, great! Thanks for that. I guess I need to read release notes much more carefully.
