Okay, this confuses me because the "new app" is the beta.  Can you go into the settings page and tell me what the version number at the top is?

Also, I'm sure we will need more information (like a complete description of exactly what you are doing and what happens).

How to Report a Problem

the version it upgraded to is 3.0.6 -- asked to upgrade from emby preview via channel store --and when I select any title on my server it gives the spin for a few seconds then a pop up saying " malformed data" appears the beta I am using is version 2.25 which I installed using the private channel code and it plays with out issue on the same device -- Roku Hisense TV

What private channel code did you use to install the 2.25 version?

Is a transcode log produced on the server when it fails?

I downloaded it via the link on this page https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/8001-emby-for-roku-channel/ -- Private Beta Channel: and has worked fine since I installed it as for error reports
