MrSmoke 11 Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 I want to start using the new LiveTV feature in MB which means that my install of Windows Server 2008 R2 is now pretty useless (since it doesn't have WMC/BDA). Whats the best way to backup my server data so I can move the install over to a Windows 7 machine? I mainly care about my watched/like/fav data. Cheers
MrSmoke 11 Posted February 6, 2014 Author Posted February 6, 2014 D'oh, searching for backup yielded no results, but theres a topic about moving here: http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/4539-moving-media-browser-server-to-a-new-computer/
MrSmoke 11 Posted February 9, 2014 Author Posted February 9, 2014 (edited) It seems that copying the /AppData/Roaming/MediaBrowser-Server folder to the other pc results in quite a few items missing their images (including user profile images). It there any other folders that I have to copy? EDIT: I shutdown MediaBrowser server and 7zipped the entire folder up EDIT2: Seems the server must store the appdata path somewhere in the config as it was looking for images at my old AppData location (I changed the username) Edited February 9, 2014 by MrSmoke
CBers 7450 Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 If you can create a repeatable tutorial, I'll put it in the KB for future reference.
