The scroll bar in Emby Theater is very thin and you have to hold the mouse just left of the bar to grab it. Doing this on a PC screen is bad emough but trying to do this in the lounge is absolutely useless. I don't really want to use a mouse, I would rather program my remote to do page up and down but you wont provide keyboard navigation so we are forced to use a mouse. Can you not give some thought to this? Basic means to navigate the library is a no brainer. Media Center was perfect for this. Nobody wants to use a mouse in the lounge. Provide keyboard navigation that can be duplicated on a remote and we have a system that can replace Media Center. As it stands, Emby Theatre is still a long way away from being a replacement for MC. Please address basic issues before adding new features.

The app has keyboard navigation built in, why do you think that it doesn't?

It sounds like you switched the display mode to desktop. Try setting it back to TV.

The app has minimal keyboard support. Page up and Page dn don't work. In MC you can type while in the library and it will move the focus to that result. It takes much more effort to do anything in EMT. If you are half way down your library and need to enter a search because you can't find something by scrolling, you have to hold the keyboard up arrow key until you reach the top of the list. Only then can you access the search window to type in your search requirement.

I never needed a mouse or keyboard using Media Center. I could program my remote with alpha characters and all the navigation features. Elsewhere in the forum people have raised this issue and it has not been addressed. You need much more than the few controls you have provided to navigate a large library.

What keyboard controls are needed? Everything that was available in Media Center. Please!

We just have not gotten to page up/down yet, but if you switch back to TV mode there is full support for the basic directional arrow keys like you would expect.

Setting it to TV means there is no scroll bar at all, so your only method of scrolling is to hold the up and down arrow keys. Not sure why you would suggest this mode to improve the scroll bar function.

Well I take that positively as it seems it is on a to do list. What about the rest of the keyboard functions?

They're all in good time but basic keyboard arrows along with enter/back will currently work just fine.

Just wanted to thank you for your continued work on this. The scroll bar is now functional in Emby Theatre using Desktop mode. I am very grateful for that. Also navigation is much improved with direct keyboard searching and thank you for Page Up / Down.

As you have done so well on this can I take the opportunity to plug for other keyboard support? In Media Centre I could pull up CC and display options from a keyboard command. This allowed me to program the remote to access this. As it stands, we still need a mouse to access these additional functions. It would round off things nicely if these were given hot keys.

I must say the past few months have really pleased me with all the updates addressing issues I have been looking forward to. I am no longer frustrated with EMBY and even my wife thinks it is the best thing I have done in a long time (don't know if that's a good thing).

Keep it up!

Thanks for the feedback. We are continuing to improve our keyboard functions.
