Is there an android widget planned so music can be controlled from the home screen?

Im not sure any of us were aware people were actually using this for music...

 

for the time being try looking for a generic media control widget that sends system wide commands..

I tend to stream music from home to my phone and car tablet using Subsonic but would like to replace it with MediaBrowser if possible.

New to MB -- any plans for a widget? Like T800 (OP), I would like to replace Subsonic/Madsonic with this and have an all-in-one solution, if possible. Not having a widget means, for me, I can't use this for music.

The Android client is in a bit of a transition as the developer who started the client decided to stop development and let the client go open source so the dev team is working to make the transition and get a dev routine in place for new contributors.

 

Hopefully, this will bring a ton of improvements but the change has thrown a bit of a wrench in the dev routine for the moment.

 

If you make a feature request in the feature request forum, people can show interest and the new devs can get an idea for what they should make a priority.
