chocolate - next / prev

if you have a boxset - and you enter the box set - you can click next / prev and ONLY the movies on the boxset are displayed.

 

On the main screen with the movie category highlighted - you click on a newly  added movie - you then click next/prev

you expect it to show the next / prev newly added movie - 

if you then go in the opposite direction to try and get back to your original movie - you can't

it seems to be going next/prev through the entire movie list.

Actually, if you go to the detail screen from the recent list, you shouldn't be able to next/prev at all.  You should just keep going to the same item because you went directly to it instead of through the parent folder.

You are right - 

I've been trying to help out debug the Aztec theme and going back and fourth to chocolate.

It was late last night and I was obviously not quite awake when I was documenting the issue 

and reported it for the wrong theme

OK - it was chocolate that did the next/prev as described in the first post

 

now that being said this is what I did

 

Aztec locked up - shu t down WMC

restarted WMC - with Aztec - verified Aztec had problem as described in 1st port

Switch themes to chocolate  (did not unload WMC or MBC)

went into the detail from latest and it allowed moving next/prev as described in first post

 

so....??

If you start up MBC without Aztec installed can you make it happen?

1) Do you want to start MBC without aztec as an installed plugin

2) or keep it installed and have chocolate as the selected them?

1) I loaded MBC with chocolate as the default theme

2) clicked on the details of a recently added movie

3) would not allow next/prev - stayed on current movie

4)went back to main scrreen

5)clicked on the category an scrolled through movies  (list view)

6) went back to main screen

7) clicked on details of one movie from recently added

8) NEXT/PREV selection WORKED - it took me to the other movies - couldn't get back to original selection

got the latest chocolate upgrade

still has the same behavior as listed above

I haven't attempted to do anything to address this.  It is simply an anomaly with how the recent lists were implemented way back when (which was before there was any next/prev functionality).  They are not like any of the other items you go into in the program.  Changing that at this point would be a little too painful I'm afraid.

When I notice strange behavior - I document & try to reproduce

Sometimes these small bugs lead to other larger issues

Sometimes they're easy to fix - other times as you've pointed out - not so much
