jasonmcroy 316 Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 I am wondering if there is any way to add the ability to scroll on the far left side of the UI? The section that lists the areas for entering the Dashboard, plugins, etc. Since more options to enter have been added I cannot see the last two areas to enter as it goes off the page and the scroll bar on my browser (Chrome) bottoms out without these last few areas being visible. I hope what I am saying is descriptive enough. Sent from my LG-MS770 using Tapatalk
bigjohn 753 Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 I see what you are saying. As a temporary work-around, you can use the zoom function of your browser to zoom out a bit. Press Ctrl - (control and the minus key) to zoom out, Ctrl + will zoom back in. overflow-y:auto; in the .content-secondary section of site.css would do the trick too, if you are inclined to do your own editing of the user interface (which may be overwritten with any server update).
jasonmcroy 316 Posted February 6, 2014 Author Posted February 6, 2014 Ah, I had totally forgotten about zooming out! That would be a good handling for now. On the other idea, I may try that too. Thanks for your response. Sent from my BNTV400 using Tapatalk
bigjohn 753 Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 (edited) No problem! @@Luke, is this something that should be addressed in the dashboard-ui? Edited February 6, 2014 by bigjohn
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 If the width of the window is too narrow, the left menu collapses into a menu at the top of the screen. This responsive feature may need to look at the height as well. I see the full menu myself on both my monitors. Which are 1920 X 1080 on the primary and 1440 X 900 on the secondary. Smaller resolutions might have problems though.
bigjohn 753 Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Yeah, for this to happen the vertical window area would have to be less than 600. Netbook maybe?
jasonmcroy 316 Posted February 6, 2014 Author Posted February 6, 2014 The screen I am using is my television which is a 42" widescreen at 1080 resolution. This didn't present any viewing issue until more options became available. On my smaller screens (such as my Nook) I do get the little icon to hit and the options on the left side drop down. When that happens I can scroll those. It isn't a huge problem since I have now been reminded about zooming. :-) Perhaps if it is something simple to implement for a future release it would be nice though.
