kingy444 117 Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 I realise there are two different settings that relate to missing episodes. (In user preferences and library settings) I have tested both of these and neither are providing what I expected (or remember emby providing previously) - This may be a feature request, but I feel emby used to do this. Basically, last night I was watching the first episode dragonball super - that one finished, but then I was missing episode 2 and had episode 3, so it said episode 3 was 'next up' -> my expectation would be for emby to go 'hey your missing episode 2' and display a watermarked 'Missing' over the image -> or not display it at all as is done with new releases Emby used to have missing episodes displayed on the web interface with the standard image and a red "Missing" watermark over the top right. When I enabled metadata for missing episodes all it did was download all the metadata for missing episodes -> there was no longer a watermark to indicate it was missing. While I don't necessarily want all 80 odd episodes of dragonball super to appear as missing episodes in my library (I am waiting for English funimation dubs), I would expect if I have episode 1 & 3 that it indicate episode 2 is missing?
Luke 42086 Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 The missing indicator was inadvertently removed in a recent release. It will return in a future update. thanks.

The TV apps should handle this situation and not skip ahead on you.
ruko1981 1 Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 (edited) I am having a missing episodes problem also. It's different than OP's problem but I am curious if it is related to the missing indicator. The missing indicator was inadvertently removed in a recent release. It will return in a future update. thanks. I am using Emby Server v3.2.7.0 for PC and the localhost webpage to view my content. for a while now I've been having problems with the missing filter in episodes tab. It has been giving me sporadic results; sometimes showing a few missing episodes, sometimes showing nothing. Also is there any e.t.a. on a fix. Thanks Edited March 24, 2017 by ruko1981

Thanks Did you enable the new option when it was moved to per TV Library level? Display missing episodes within seasons If enabled, information about missing episodes will be imported into your Emby database and displayed within seasons and series. This may cause significantly longer library scans.
ruko1981 1 Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 No I have not set that feature, but that is not the feature I want. I would like to have a list of all missing episodes, like I used to have. I don't really want to have to search through each season to see which ones are missing episodes. As shown below I get a blank list when trying to filter by missing episodes in the TV > Episodes page
Luke 42086 Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 In order to have that checkbox work, you need to enable missing episodes for that particular library. You have to decide if you want that though because enabling that will result in longer library scans. Unfortunately now that the feature is off by default, I'm not sure about the future of that checkbox on the Episodes filter screen.
ruko1981 1 Posted March 26, 2017 Posted March 26, 2017 Thank you, that worked. It will be unfortunate if that checkbox goes away. It is nice to have a report of all the missing episodes. Especially since there is, as of yet, no actual indication in each season of missing episodes; even with the aforementioned feature enabled.

I was watching another show last night (EMBY Theater on XBOX ONE) and had the jump happen from episode 5 to episode 7 again.
