moviefan 187 Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 As reported by Chef here regarding Square: http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/4082-square-theme-general-help-thread/?p=68173 I think this is a more general MBC problem that should be addressed outside of square because it happens for me in Harmony, Classic, and Chocolate themes on multiple computers.
ebr 16169 Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 You can actually fix this by updating Chocolate. Thanks.
moviefan 187 Posted February 6, 2014 Author Posted February 6, 2014 You can actually fix this by updating Chocolate. Thanks. I just updated and it is still crashing for me. I am on Beta release configuration...
moviefan 187 Posted February 6, 2014 Author Posted February 6, 2014 (edited) You are on Chocolate 3.0.3.4? Correct. I question if it's a theme issue since it seems to happen in all of them... Edited February 6, 2014 by moviefan
ebr 16169 Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Then I'm going to need the event viewer event from when this happens. I was able to reproduce with 3.0.3.3 of Chocolate but I fixed that in 3.0.3.4 and now can't reproduce. Try un-installing Chocolate and see if the problem goes away.
moviefan 187 Posted February 6, 2014 Author Posted February 6, 2014 I just uninstalled all of my Theme plugins, manually deleted the files in the ProgramData/Plugins folder, Installed Chocolate again, rebooted, and problem still existed. Then I uninstalled chocolate completely as you suggested and Classic did not exhibit this problem. Event viewer event below. Exception System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at MediaBrowser.Library.Entities.Folder.SetFilterUnWatched(Boolean value) at MediaBrowser.Library.FolderModel.set_FilterUnwatched(Boolean value) at Chocolate.WholeSeriesFolderModel.NavigatingInto() at MediaBrowser.Application.OpenFolderPage(FolderModel folder) at MediaBrowser.Application.Navigate(Item item) at Microsoft.MediaCenter.Queues.Dispatcher.MainLoop(Queue queue) at Microsoft.MediaCenter.UI.UIDispatcher.MainLoop(Queue queue, LoopCondition condition) at MediaCenter.Extensibility.Host.Main(String[] args)
Solution ebr 16169 Posted February 6, 2014 Solution Posted February 6, 2014 Yeah, it is related to some special functionality in Chocolate but I may need to fix it in the core to be sure it doesn't cause a problem elsewhere. Try it after you update MBC to 123. 1
Trevor68 70 Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Well thats interesting, I could not search by actor, or open movies by genre, or favorites. I just uninstallaed chocolate 3.0.3.6 and all of this is working again now, on all other themes
