bigjohn 753 Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 In trying to fill in missing metadata and images in my collection, I noticed that primary images were not being grabbed for some Specials folders. My example is the specials for the kids tv series "The Octonauts" (http://thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=198851&lid=7) . Forced refreshing at the Series level or Season level would not pull the primary image from TVDB. Using the Browse Online Images button also returned no images. I changed my specials folder name from "Specials" to "Season 0" and the image was pulled from TVDB as expected. Just wanted to put that out there for anyone else who might be having trouble getting those images.
BATTLE DONKEY 98 Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Just to add to that, the folder must be named "Season 0" but from the dashboard under Media Library, then Settings you can specify what the "Season 0" folder will look like in the clients. So you can easily call it "Specials" or anything else so you dont see "Season 0" in the client view
bigjohn 753 Posted February 6, 2014 Author Posted February 6, 2014 Good point BD, should have thought to point that out as well. @@Luke, is this considered normal behavior for the image fetcher?
BATTLE DONKEY 98 Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 That's the normal behaviour because tvdb has specials listed under a season 0 category so the names have to match properly for MB to know where n what its fetching the data from, its the same with MCM and other data fetching programs
bigjohn 753 Posted February 6, 2014 Author Posted February 6, 2014 All of the rest of my metadata gets populated just fine when using the folder name "Specials", I guess because they still have names that indicate season 0 (s00e01, etc.) It is only the primary image that does not get picked up.
ebr 16169 Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 I think this is probably just an omission in our logic translating. I'm sure it can be fixed.
