Disorganise 15 Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 Per title really..... I used to have MB/Emby on win 7 and with total media theatre hooked into MB classic, I could play blu rays in media centre. Converted to win 10 and emby theatre quite some time ago and playing mkvs etc has been great. But now I need to play my blu rays and am looking for the simplest and most integrated method. TMT seems to have disappeared. I downloaded some other player I forget the name of right now, and whilst it played (with watermark for trial version), it was in its own player which is naff because A) none of the nice artwork and meta data have to get up and use the mouse instead of the remote to kick it off (though pause would at least work from the remote after that) I tried adding the bluray disk letter into a library on emby server (server and ET on same box) but that didn't work. And it seems anydvd got taken over so a potential workaround of dumping to disk is out. So...is there a way of playing blu ray disks via ET? I realise I'll need to buy something for the codecs most likely, but would rather avoid a disjointed experience......I'd probably just grab a discrete hw player and switch via the amp instead. In case it makes a difference, some of the disks are 3d (as is TV). Thanks for any pointers
Luke 42078 Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 Why don't you use the other player as an external player?
Marc_G 95 Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 Anydvd is now done by Redfox instead of defunct slysoft. Works a same as ever though. And TMT still works if you have the install disk. I have it running on one of my computers.
