Can you enable email addresses for logging into Emby?

 

Most websites/services now let you use your email address as login, it makes it easier for users to not have to remember a separate username.

 

I tried to set up a user using email address, however it did not accept:

May or may not work for your particular application but will if these users are remote and single per device - you could use Emby Connect which will allow validation with an email address.

Yeah I don't have any use for Emby Connect, just want to be able to use email addresses for usernames.

 

I think all you need to do is allow @ as an allowed symbol.
