QuasiZ 4 Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 There doesn't seem to be a forum section for the Emby website, so dropping this here. Problem: After purchasing a Premiere Key and being redirected after PayPal, one lands on this page: https://emby.media/thank-you.html The text on that page is referring to "Emby Server dashboard under Help -> Supporter Key". However, no such "Help" section appears to exist. I entered the key under "Server -> Emby Premiere". Solution: Adjust the text to better reflect the current state of Emby's Server dashboard. Aside: The text also mentions "You will receive a supporter key via email shortly". If at all possible, this should mention which e-mail address it will be sent to, or at least indicate that it would go to e.g. one's PayPal e-mail address vs an e-mail address on file with Emby (e.g. as used for Emby Connect).
ebr 16178 Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 We'll fix that up. Thanks. If at all possible, this should mention which e-mail address it will be sent to, or at least indicate that it would go to e.g. one's PayPal e-mail address vs an e-mail address on file with Emby (e.g. as used for Emby Connect). BTW - this is only true if you use PayPal. If you pay directly with a card, you provide the email address at the time of payment. This is because we do not force you to have an online account or log in with us in order to do these transactions.
QuasiZ 4 Posted February 22, 2017 Author Posted February 22, 2017 Right, I figured it would depend on that. If you're using the PayPal permission to get the payer's e-mail address, then I guess you should be able to tell the user the e-mail address directly. Otherwise it could still say "to your PayPal e-mail address" or something to that effect Thanks! Enjoying the lack of locking up so far (ex-Plex user)
ebr 16178 Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 I changed the text to be specific and reference the different methods. Thanks for pointing this out. 1
