Boredcat 34 Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 (edited) I have a problem with Emby Theater on my main HTPC Video / Sounds and subs are out of sync, and not just some ms but seconds. It started last Wednesday, after windows patches.. This is what I tried/done so far. - Checked of problem was related a particular MKV - No, every MKV has this issue. - Can the problem reproduced on another PC - No, same MKV plays fine. No synch issue. Remark video was played in Laptop, no TV screen attached - Reinstalled Windows 10 - No luck, issue stayed the same - Disabled i/p scaling on receiver (HDMI is going from HTPC to receiver to TV) - No luck - Tried to play MKV from android app TV (TV is running Android TV 6.01) - Plays perfect Does anybody has an idea what to do next.. or what kind of info do you need (log files etc)... Some info on the HTPC Windows 10 Pro Core 2 DUO E7400 4 GB RAM 120 GB SSD 1 GB connection to Emby Server GT160 Video Card Receiver info Denon X2200W Lip Sync enabled i/p scaling off TV info Philips 55PUS7181 Running android 6.01 Running latest Software updates Edited February 20, 2017 by Boredcat
Boredcat 34 Posted February 20, 2017 Author Posted February 20, 2017 I think I may have found something. The update last Wednesday included an Nvidia driver update. This update failed to install. After the reinstall of Windows 10, I tried to install the Nvidia driver (latest version ) this failed.. Tried to install a version from 2016, this failed also .. but this might be because there is stil a part left of the "new" driver set.. I am know thinking that when Windows update tried to install the new drivers, it removed the old drivers and causing the sync issue.. Will keep you posted on the progress.. more ideas welcome
Deathsquirrel 745 Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Are the video/sounds in sync but the subs are off or is it some other combo? What format are the subs?
Boredcat 34 Posted February 20, 2017 Author Posted February 20, 2017 There are all out of sync.. video is before sound and subs are in between. Subs are SSA and SRT.. I have managed to install the NVIDIA driver... But now nothing plays anymore. COM Error in the log file I have attached to the log file .. theater-63623212173.txt
Luke 42078 Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 I would try setting the app's audio and video settings back to defaults, thanks.
Boredcat 34 Posted February 21, 2017 Author Posted February 21, 2017 (edited) Solved : - Installed Nvidia drivers - COM errors - Removed/Install Emby Everything is working again. Edited February 21, 2017 by Boredcat
