Tolotos 61 Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Hi, as the original thread is locked I started a new one to ask if there are some news on this topic. Kind regards, Tolotos
NaturallyNick 0 Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 I'm also very interested in this feature. I have some videos in different resolutions as well as copies of 3D SBS movies I'd like to use it for, but I almost exclusively use Kodi to access my media library. Thanks for any info!
fonzie 22 Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 (edited) I followed these instructions: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Movie%20naming#multi-version-movies and it imports the movie correctly. However, in Kodi, it automatically chooses the 1080p version instead of the 2160p version that I have even though my Nvidia Shield is able to handle the larger file without issues. As I type this, it occurs to me that it might be because I have my emby addon set to direct paths. I'll investigate and report back. edit: So my suspicions were correct. I renamed the movie so that the 4K version comes first. Kodi then played the 4K version instead of the 1080p version. So it went from: movie title - 1080p.mkv movie title - 2160p.mkv to movie title - 1. 2160p.mkv movie title - 2. 1080p.mkv Edited March 31, 2017 by fonzie
