Emby pushing premiere a little bit too hard.

I am an Emby Premiere user at my house, and have been for a good 6 months.

This week I went out of town for a week. I knew I would have limited internet access so I decided to bring along a portable version of Emby. Obliviously this wouldn't carry over my Premiere sub because it is a different Emby sever. So I get a week of the Emby free version. 3 Days in, I am very displeased with all of the ads for Premiere. I get it Emby is a business and needs money to pay developers and such. But do you really need to pop up a message and make me wait 15 seconds before I can continue to my video? That is super annoying, I know that is probably the point in hopes to get people to pay into Permiere. But I think actually degrades and hurts the Emby brand.

 

If you don't agree with me, I would suggest you look at the competition. There is literately 0 ads about the pay version and no popup or wait times.

 

 

Personally next trip I go on I am sorry to say I am taking something different.

In my experience and various trips to asia (usually bad connections) I have found that Using Emby for remote access works well if you adjust the settings to match the home Max upload speed and remote location download speed (e.g my home upload Max is 900Kb) and I am able to use my entire system from Asia adequately (with some lag of course).
