dcook 299 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 I think I have found a bug: When I add shows, if they are identified wrong, I then use the identify option in the menu, and check the box to replace all images However the backdrop image is not replaced. All the other images are replaced with the correct images fine. I then have to manually delete the backdrop image and add the correct one. Duane
Luke 42080 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Hi, can you please discuss some specific examples? Please make sure to go over how they are presented in Emby as well as what the file naming is. thanks !
dcook 299 Posted February 13, 2017 Author Posted February 13, 2017 I will take some screen captures next one that I find that has this issue. The last one was "The Odd Couple"
Luke 42080 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Keep in mind with one of our metadata providers up and down over the last several days, that leaves us with only one to match against. you can learn more about that here: http://www.omdbapi.com/ Also keep in mind - Emby doesn't match. It simply takes your file name and punches it into the metadata provider's search api.
dcook 299 Posted February 13, 2017 Author Posted February 13, 2017 (edited) Right the issue is not that it matched wrong, I expect that, the issue is that once I put in more data like imdb, year etc it then gave me a choice of choosing the correct one which I did, and I checked the box "replace all images" however all images were not replaced. All images were replaced except for the backdrop images which left the originally 1 backdrop images from the wrong series. Luke 42080 Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 We'll review it for an future update, thanks !
dcook 299 Posted February 14, 2017 Author Posted February 14, 2017 Does that mean that you have confirmed that there is an issue when identifying shows and checking the box to replace all images where the backdrop does not get replaced? We'll review it for an future update, thanks !
Luke 42080 Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 I have not tested it yet but I have a pretty good idea, thanks.
Happy2Play 9782 Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 (edited) Just tested "The Odd Couple" and of course it was miss identified and go wrong images. Selected identify and put name The Odd Couple and selected the first 2015 option, which appears to be from TMDB. @@Luke can have a way to know what provider results are returned from with hacking the browser? In my test all images were replaced. v3.2.1.0 Not sure if Series Image option made a difference. Edited February 14, 2017 by Happy2Play
Luke 42080 Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 The issue most likely is that when a new image is not downloaded, the old image is left instead of being deleted.
dcook 299 Posted February 14, 2017 Author Posted February 14, 2017 That makes sense, because with the 1st wrong version of the The Odd Couple it had downloaded 1 backdrop image, when I used the identify feature and choose the 2015 version it just kept the old backdrop image. I think it should be changed that if you check the box "replace all images" the original images are all deleted or replaced including the backdrops. Luke 42080 Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 The feature should just delete all existing images I would say. 1

dcook 299 Posted February 14, 2017 Author Posted February 14, 2017 It didn't for me, I didn't make a screen capture before I manually deleted the backdrop. I will see if I can find some other examples and capture it for you. Happy2Play 9782 Posted February 14, 2017 Posted February 14, 2017 Did another test with the series "Proof". Initially identified as "Proof (2004)", selected Identify and typed Name "Proof" and selected "Proof (2015)". Before After @@Luke @@dcook Different scenario but this issue can happen. If there are no image to replace existing images they don't get deleted (logo and thumb).
dcook 299 Posted February 14, 2017 Author Posted February 14, 2017 Explains why I had wrong images for some movies/shows after using Identify feature
