dcook 299 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 (edited) I have changed my library settings to 10 backdrops, however when I add new shows and run scan library, Emby is only downloading 1 backdrop? Is it not supposed to download 10 if available? Also is there a way to have more than one banner or primary image? So they can be rotated like the backdrops? Edited February 13, 2017 by dcook
Luke 42080 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Hi, for what media types did you configure this? Can you show a screenshot of the settings? thanks !
dcook 299 Posted February 13, 2017 Author Posted February 13, 2017 Hi, it was for TV Here is library: Here is the image settings under the metadata tab: I notice there is no checkbox for backdrop?? However it does download 1 backdrop if there are backdrops available. But some shows have dozens or hundreds of backdrops and it still only downloads 1 backdrop, not 10 backdrops like I have set. Also it seems to download either the 1st backdrop it finds or the one at random, it is not downloading the backdrops with the highest number of votes? Hi, for what media types did you configure this? Can you show a screenshot of the settings? thanks !
Luke 42080 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Well in the second screenshot i can't see the top portion because it is cut off. What is the value in the media type dropdown? Please discuss a specific example - an example that came after changing the settings. thanks.
dcook 299 Posted February 13, 2017 Author Posted February 13, 2017 All of them are like that: Game of Thrones The Walking Dead Homeland The Big Bang Theory etc etc All of them only downloaded one backdrop image automatically, I can go into Metadata Manager and add more without issue, however should it not be grabbing more than 1 automatically? And can you answer: It seems to download either the 1st backdrop it finds or one backdrop at random I am not sure, should it be downloading the backdrops with the highest number of votes? Happy2Play 9782 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 (edited) Since Series don't have "Disc" images, you forgot to change the drop-down from "Movies" to "Series". Edited February 13, 2017 by Happy2Play

It will download in provider order as many as you set it to, so you may end up with duplicated as there may only be 5 backdrops on to providers so to get your 10 Emby will pull 5 from each.
dcook 299 Posted February 13, 2017 Author Posted February 13, 2017 Any way to make it download based on votes? So it grabs the 10 with highest votes for example? Luke 42080 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 It is prioritized based on metadata provider settings, then by user rating, all while being filtered on language and min width. So yes it already does that.

What makes you think it isn't? Example I have fanart as top priority set to 5 and as you see Emby select the first five from fanart. It will not pick one from each provider as most of the time those are the same images. Edited February 13, 2017 by Happy2Play
dcook 299 Posted February 13, 2017 Author Posted February 13, 2017 I don't think its working then, for example: If you look the image it picked has only 52 votes, but there are others with higher votes: It is prioritized based on metadata provider settings, then by user rating, all while being filtered on language and min width. So yes it already does that.
Happy2Play 9782 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Well @@Luke Did say rating not vote as that image has a 7.8 and the other has 7.1.
Luke 42080 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 yea we don't always get a vote count so you can't compare data from one provider to the next. on some we get a vote count, on others we get a rating.
