kalle 4 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 When I look in to my movie library all movies that are part of a collection are grouped together to one box set with one cover. All works as expected. But when I'm using a filter, for example watched/not watched, the box sets disappear and the individual movies are shown. Is this intend to do so? Would it be more logical to show box sets in filtered movies too? Or is there a setting to enable box sets also for a filtered view? I'm using Emby-Server 3.2.1.0 on Debian stable. Thanks for your help. kalle
ebr 16185 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 That is by design. What are we to show if you've watched two of three items in a box set and ask for only unwatched?
kalle 4 Posted February 13, 2017 Author Posted February 13, 2017 It should follow the general logic behind box sets: Are there multiple movies of a collections to show - create a box set. Is there only one movie of a collection to show - no need for a box set. To me it is a little inconsistent to handle box sets differently when a filter is applied. But it is only a little detail. Still a great app!
Luke 42080 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Thanks for the feedback. It is by design because if you look at the filters, not all of them would apply to a boxset. Thanks !
kalle 4 Posted February 14, 2017 Author Posted February 14, 2017 Ah, ok. I thought the filters were applied to the individual movies and creating box sets (if multiple items of a collection exists) is the very last step after all the filtering and sorting. In my opinion it would be more logical to have box sets in a filtered view too. Because I made this general decision in the library settings. I'm new to Emby-Server coming from Kodi. And still learning that some details are different. Be patient. Thanks for clearing.
