Suddently transcoding all files poorly

Hi all,

Hoping you can help

Had a crisis of the Emby system where I appear to be grinding to a halt on playback and the system suddenly transcoding all media

Everything has been working perfectly for months (windows updates are turned off) and recently I started experiencing a LOT of jitter on playback

After some basic checks I noticed instead of Emby for WMC playing back files natively, the server was transcoding them (and struggling, despite never having an issue encoding previously)

Ive atttempted to playback the files in question directly on the windows PC using the full network paths (in case it was an access issue) and no issues are found

Ive uninstalled and reinstalled Shark 007 in case there was a strange codec playback issue (despite the above) and the issue still occurs

Display drivers, same as above, no change

ANY help would be greatly appreciated as I'm off OS in a few days and I'm desperate to have this working for our house sitter (and so we can ensure we can access all our stuff remotely :) )

Thankyou!

Latest log is:

Emby for WMC does not have direct access to your media files, so that's why it is transcoding through Emby Server. If it is on a different machine than the server, go into library setup and configure the optional network paths that correspond to your library folders.

Thanks so much for your quick response Luke

The strange part here is that nothing has changed on my end (apart from an emby server software upgrade)

These were all working previously (all shares were definitely added to the libraries)

I didn't even think to look there because that's always the way I've had things setup

I'll re-add them now!

This was do to a old config that has finally been removed "Path Sustitution" to make use of the per library setting.
