TolkienBard 58 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 It's been more than a year since I last watched Firefly, so I have no idea how long it has been since the series has been out of order. I am guessing that it has been since I recovered some shows about 5 months ago, since that is when there would have been a call for some changes. However, I just discovered that my shows with out of order episodes (Firefly and Conan are the first to come to mind) are back to listing everything in aired order. I have gone down and altered the DVD Order number and the Absolute Order number to reflect what the reality should be though. I'm sure I'm missing something simple here, but how do I get the episodes to populate in the client in the proper order? I found an old post about this that said to let the scraper do its work and then change the episode number in the manager. As far as I can tell, that's what I have done though. I'm feeling awfully silly here since I've only been using Emby since MB2 and I should be able to fix this in my sleep by now.
Luke 42079 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Hi, you can populate them, but at the moment we don't do a whole lot with those values. Dvd order is something we'd like to support in the future, thanks.
TolkienBard 58 Posted February 13, 2017 Author Posted February 13, 2017 Ah, so those aren't doing anything yet, gotcha. I guess I need to keep tweaking things a bit then. I know I used to be able to do something that put them all in the proper order, with the proper episode descriptions as well. I don't remember it being too terribly complicated, but obviously it was more than just tweaking a number in the metadata manager. This is what I get for not keeping a closer eye or making notes on what I have done to customize my setup.
Luke 42079 Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 Great news. The beta server now has support for DVD & absolute episode ordering: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/56616-3305-dvd-absolute-episode-ordering Enjoy.
