Editing Via Metadata Manager - People - Double save needed

When adding People to a TV series (i guess its the same code for other types of media) i am not seeing the new Actors etc being added to the nfo/xml files on the first save

 

1) click add

2) fill in the details of the actor/director etc

3) click save - closes editing window - which returns you to main editing form for a series/season etc

4) scroll to the bottom of page

5) Click save - "Item saved." pops up

6) Check nfo/xml file - file is saved to file system but new info is not added (file is not open in another program or locked in any way - file timestamps are different between each save)

7) Click save again and it saves the file again with the new info - new timestamp

 

Also if you want to delete an actor etc you have to save twice as well to see a change in the content of the nfo/xml file

 

Have tried this in Stable(3.2.1.0) and Beta (103) get same behaviour

 

Are others seeing this?

 

Perhaps it is "just" saving to the database on first save and would amend the nfo/xml later?? If so why write to the file on first save?

 

PS - why does it not actually save on point 2) if it is supposed to fine - but if not the save button is wrongly labelled

Both Series and episode saved to nfo on step 5 for me on Stable.

 

No issue removing actors either.

Step 2 should probably be an Okay button instead of Save, since you are not Saving anything until you Save the entire file.

 

Tests were in Chrome 56, server 3.2.1.0.
