SHOCKWAVE 2 Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 Would like to know if there is a direct shortcut/web link to the 'Now Playing' area? ie so I can go directly to what/who is currently playing a film or tv show? thanks
Luke 42080 Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 Hi, yes just open the menu and click Remote Control. Does this help?
SHOCKWAVE 2 Posted February 13, 2017 Author Posted February 13, 2017 Doesn't seem to display what's playing over the network. How do I do that?
Luke 42080 Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 hi @@SHOCKWAVE, it shows whatever is playing in the currently selected player. you can change players by clicking the cast icon. If you would like to see an overview of what all apps are playing at the same time, you can do that on the front page of the Emby server dashboard. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks !

The second part. But instead of all apps how do I just filter to current apps playing anything or just the one app?
Luke 42080 Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 If you just want to see one app then use the now playing screen. the server dashboard does not currently have any filters, although it's a good idea for the future. thanks !

Something similar to the Plex now playing screen is what I'm looking for, it describes what is currently streaming and to where its streaming as well as video info.
Luke 42080 Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 We have that on the Emby Server dashboard. I would check that out.

Luke 42080 Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 So you are not trying to view what all clients are currently playing? Maybe he just hasn't tried it yet. Do you have a screenshot handy of all your users playing something with nice pretty images on the server dashboard?

Latchmor 584 Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Hi, do you not see this on your dashboard then?
SHOCKWAVE 2 Posted February 18, 2017 Author Posted February 18, 2017 Hi, do you not see this on your dashboard then? No, i'm not seeing that. I'm going on the web view (browser) if that helps.
Latchmor 584 Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 No, i'm not seeing that. I'm going on the web view (browser) if that helps. Strange. I used the mobile app but the web view is exactly the same. Could you post a screenshot of your whole dashboard page then? (hide any info you don't want there)

I have attached a screenshot of how plex does it. That is exactly how Emby does it as well. use an admin account and view the dashboard. If there are any active streams they will show up there. Give us a screen shot of your Emby dashboard so we can understand what you are/are not seeing.

The info screen works correctly if I use the app on mobile etc, WHERE I am running into the issue is when a stream is played not in this format. ie, for me over DLNA. At the moment the family uses the service on a smart tv over DLNA and this info screen is not available hence my issue. Is there any reason for this? @@Luke @@Latchmor ?
