Bug - Guide Listings

Recommended Posts

Posted

Here is the situation:

I am using HDHR Connect, HDHR Prime and HDHR Prime with CableCard

I have several channels that have this issue - I have channels that appear different between Connect and Prime CableCard for instance Connect channel 5.2 (WEWSDT2) appears as 153 on the Prime CableCard.

The problem - When I map them both to the correct listings the program guide shows no data for one of them. So I can't map the same guide listing to 2 different channels.

So my question(s):

Should I be able to do this? If yes what am I doing wrong?

If this can't be done would it be possible to create a "copy listings" feature to allow it?

Is there a way to "unmap" a channel after it has been mapped? Can't seem to find a way - there is no blank/empty listing in the channel map list. For the moment I am mapping the channels on the Prime CableCard to a different channel like Barker or VOD.

I am attaching a log.

Thanks for reading and any help!

If this is in the wrong area please move it.

Hi

Unfortunately, at the moment, you cannot map two channels to the same EPG data.

As you have found, you will only get data filled for one Channel.

I have asked for this to be fixed but not happening yet.

To delete mappings you need to find the livetv.xml file in emby-server/config and delete the mappings manually.using an editor.

@@maegibbons can you provide a link to your originally reported issue? thanks !

Ok since it's just mixed into a general thread I'll use this one instead then. thanks.

Ok

Just so you know, this happens regardless of whether EPG comes from SD or XMLTV

This is resolved for the next release of emby server. just be aware you'll have to remove and re-add the guide data setup.

Sounds great.  Will test and report back.

Hmmm...

I tried this and on duplicated channels I now only get the last channel with EPG data.  The other channels just dont appear in the guide at all!!

m3u data:

#EXTINF:-1 channel-id="2153" tvg-id="I74410.json.schedulesdirect.org",SKY SPORTS F1 FHD
http://ace-iptv.xyz:4545/live/xxxxxxxxxx/xxxxxxxxxx/615.ts
#EXTINF:-1 channel-id="2154" tvg-id="I74410.json.schedulesdirect.org",SKY SPORTS F1 HD
http://ace-iptv.xyz:4545/live/xxxxxxxxxx/xxxxxxxxxx/30.ts
#EXTINF:-1 channel-id="2155" tvg-id="I74410.json.schedulesdirect.org" tvg-logo="https://s3.amazonaws.com/schedulesdirect/assets/stationLogos/s74410_h3_aa.png",SKY SPORTS F1 HDS
http://ace-iptv.xyz:4545/live/xxxxxxxxxx/xxxxxxxxxx/1851.ts
#EXTINF:-1 channel-id="2156" tvg-id="I74410.json.schedulesdirect.org" tvg-logo="https://s3.amazonaws.com/schedulesdirect/assets/stationLogos/s74410_h3_aa.png",SKY SPORTS F1 SD
http://ace-iptv.xyz:4545/live/xxxxxxxxxx/xxxxxxxxxx/76.ts

Only channel 2156 appears in the guide.  The others have disappeared.

And yes I did delete the XML EPG setup in Live TV setup and the recreated it.  Perhaps I am missing a step.

FYI: All the channels appear in mapping and are correctly automapped

Do you need an xmltv file to test the above?

Let me know.

Can you please revisit this because duplicate EPG channels still does not work.

All duplicate channels apart from the last one are now just not shown in the guide which is actually worse because you cannot even select the stream any more.

On what version of the server is this resolved?

I am on 3.2.1 and I am still having this issue. Cannot map the guide listings to more than 1 channel.

Looks like auto mapping between tvg-id and xml channel-id is badly broken in beta 115.

Cannot tell yet if any improvement on multiple EPG data as my guide is broken.

i will manually map in the morning to test that.

Ok - couldnt wait till morning so got out of bed because it will destroy my recordings in current state.

Have inserted manual guide mapping in livetv.xml in accordance with your new format as per:

        <NameValuePair>
          <Name>I69387.json.schedulesdirect.org-2001</Name>
          <Value>I69387.json.schedulesdirect.org</Value>
        </NameValuePair>
        <NameValuePair>
          <Name>I17153.json.schedulesdirect.org-2002</Name>
          <Value>I17153.json.schedulesdirect.org</Value>
        </NameValuePair>
        <NameValuePair>
          <Name>I50059.json.schedulesdirect.org-2003</Name>
          <Value>I50059.json.schedulesdirect.org</Value>
        </NameValuePair>

And refreshed guide.  So looks like you have fixed the Multiple EPG lines issue but broke tvg-id to channel-id auto mapping which was working perfectly before.

Many thanks

Hi

@@Luke

Can confirm that in 3.2.5.1 that Dual/multi epg guide issue is fixed AND tvg-Id to xml channel-id is automapping correctly.

Well done!!!

HOWEVER, there is an issue with scheduled recordings with the dual/multi epg/channel situation.

If you select "Record Series" in a program  on one of a multi-epg channel it does NOT select any of the episodes to be recorded.

Indeed if you go in to that Series in the "series" tab it will not show any episodes in the scedule at the bottom - it is completely blank.
