MKANET 17 Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 (edited) My Emby server is at home. I have Kodi (and Emby for Kodi) installed at a remote PC (outside my home). I don't have any issues using the Windows 10 Emby client to stream videos. However, if I try to watch the same videos using Kodi (and respective Emby for Kodi addon), once in a while the video will stutter.. taking 10 seconds or so to recover. I'm just guessing that this stuttering is a result of streaming the original video (and respective bitrate) to the Emby for Kodi addon. If there is transcoding, I'm not too sure where I would set that (specifically for Emby for Kodi). Thanks in advance, MKANET Edited February 11, 2017 by MKANET
Luke 42078 Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Yes there is a max video streaming bitrate setting in the add-on settings.
Chomicz 2 Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 Is there any chance that in the next release the lowest bitrate can be reduced even lower? Emby works great but due to some 'restrictions' where I live, Emby works best works on 420kpbs (and lower); I can only set Emby for Kodi only to one SD setting.
