BigGoose62 71 Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 (edited) When opening the edit images window in the web client to browse for alternate images (poster, banner, logo, etc) the images are taking 30-45 seconds to load. This is a fairly recent issue, and I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to try to fix it. Also, I've noticed that if I open a movie's page, where it displays the overview and actors' pictures, it will become extremely laggy after 30 seconds or 1 minute. Simply going back to the main page to browse all movies clears this lag up. Any ideas? Any help is appreciated! Edited February 10, 2017 by BigGoose62
Luke 42086 Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 Hi, there's no changes here on Emby's side. The images are coming straight from the online metadata providers and sometimes they can be very large.
BigGoose62 71 Posted February 10, 2017 Author Posted February 10, 2017 Luke, is it still possible to adjust which metadata providers the web client pulls from? And thanks for the help!

Have you looked at Dashboard-Library-Metadata-Customize for media type options and the drop-down window for each media types. Edited February 10, 2017 by Happy2Play

Yes, thank you. I knew I was missing it. Anyway, I just played around with it and something seems to be off. If I uncheck all image fetchers, I still get image results when searching images for a title. If I uncheck everything except TheMovieDB, I still get results from FanArt. I'm basically trying to turn them all off so that I can slowly add them back to find the culprit. But it seems I'm unable to turn them off.
Luke 42086 Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 The manual image editor is designed to show you everything, so it includes the disabled providers. The settings only affected the automated processes.
Happy2Play 9785 Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Looking at the test I just did, unchecking options don't appear to make a difference when manually searching for images. 2017-02-10 16:24:57.0675 Info HttpServer: HTTP Response 200 to 192.168.151.7. Time: 20171ms (slow) @@Luke just answered what I was going to ask.
Luke 42086 Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Yea a long time ago we had the image editor respecting the settings, and that just led to people reporting it "not working" due to ones they disabled not showing up in the list.
BigGoose62 71 Posted February 11, 2017 Author Posted February 11, 2017 OK, thank you guys for looking into this. I'm not sure what the issue is, but I'll keep tinkering
