Jdiesel 1431 Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 Does Emby server have to means to monitor/log buffing events on the client end?
Luke 42086 Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 Yes, although not all logs are user accessible on all platforms.
Jdiesel 1431 Posted February 10, 2017 Author Posted February 10, 2017 Sorry maybe I wasn't clear in what I was trying to ask. If a buffering event occurs on a client is notification of that event able to be sent to the server and be logged or is it restricted to the clients log file only? The reason I ask is it would be helpful to monitor for buffering events from the server or even better be able to setup a server notification when buffering is occurring. I currently do this with Plex and Plexpy to monitor if there are playback issues on remote clients and can have the users adjust there quality settings if it is a common occurrence.
Luke 42086 Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 We don't have that currently. It is a possibility for the future.
