in the emby settings you have this option:

 

I asumb that is an option to stream the vide trough the server over http rather then accesing the smb share?

but is it posible to stresam over https? so the trafic is encrypted?

The emby server can be set to operate with https://..

 

Then it would select https by default

 

But that picture, isn't that from kodi?

 

On my server I changed to https, and blocked the port for http, (just to be sure).

I have seen the https option on hte server side, but is that only for the admin page? or also the stream?

I think it's for the stream also, since I've blocked the http ports and it still streams to me..
