brad_w 3 Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 (edited) Hi guys, Just thought i'd throw it out there; i know MBT is an alpha and should be expecting bugs, but not sure what is happening here.. as soon as MadVR is "engaged" from MBT, the video will continue to play in the background, while the backdrop/UI of MBT is sitting over the top of it with a very white tinge. I open up task manager to see MBT has completely crashed/not responding, but video still continues to play. i'm running Windows 7 at the moment - last night i was running Windows 8.1 using the same setup and was flawless.. madvr switching to 1080p23 using the internal player and was as smooth as possible, but after playing with MBT on another machine running Windows 7 I found the UI ran so much more smoothly than Win8.1, and generally looked better; so I decided to format my own - only to have MBT not able to use MadVR at all after installing everything.. dammittt. is this an issue with just Windows 7? Using the latest server/mbt/madvr/lav filters. MadVR isn't forcing exclusive mode either. - I know MBT has issues with that. really don't wanna go back to 8.1 as i'm not a fan at all; but struggling not being able to watch anything with how i like it set up Thanks for any help! Cheers. EDIT: found the section of the log where's its stackin' it: 2014-02-03 21:38:42.1860 Info - DirectShowPlayer: Playing Chronicle. Solution brad_w 3 Posted February 8, 2014 Author Solution Posted February 8, 2014 (edited) no one's having the same issue at all? i just went and installed the exact same settings from a fresh format on a mates PC and works flawless, tried formatting my own one again, same problem. only happens when madVR tries to change resolution/refresh rate. if i remove the "1080p23" display mode from MadVR, theatre will load the movie up no problems - but runs choppy as. could it be an nVidia driver thing? I recently swapped out my ATI radeon HD 4800 series (pretty old) with an nvidia GT610, and have had nothign but problems so far (not very powerful but i can't find any high end fanless video cards) Edited February 8, 2014 by brad_w
