Beta Music Video Error

Do not know if this has been reported.  Music video category returns a error to the effect of Unrecognized video category (para phrased don't exactly remember).

 

Thanks!  (would love to see a random shuffle in this category)

That error is gone, but category returns no videos. Yet on the home page the music video category shows art / "covers" in that "thumbnail"?

What exactly does your music video setup look like?  I tested this with a library with a few videos in it and it worked fine for me...

Not sure i follow, but the structure is... 

 

driveletter://music videos/artistname/artist - songname  99% of the files are .mp4

(I set up the structure in this way due to the other folks.  But it was very cool, because all of these videos would show up in the artist name in the music section)

 

In the past year i found myself, and visitors, playing more music videos than actual music.  You can hit shuffle play all and enjoy your own personal MTV (back in time when they played videos) for hours on end.

 

Like most categories ebr if emby will work with my collections than the majority of the emby community will have no issues. 

 

***edit***  I tried this again, while checking on the search issue, and one out of the 3 or 4 times i tried it, it did return the correct amount of folders.  The other attempts returned 0 results.

You have a server log from when it doesn't work?  Sounds like maybe something is throwing an error or taking too long on the server side...

Here you go ebr.  At first the preview app had a hard time loading anything.  It started without problems, but couldnt seem to get media straightened out.  Went between on now and next up a few times before its marbles cleared.  Once i got it to load up i did try the music video library.  The first attempt "timed out" with no videos returned.  The next three attempts loaded successfully.

 

The other app goes straight into files, not folders if that helps speed things up in anyway?  Also has # - Z to help get to desired artist quicker.  As long as you set up the files to have artistname/artistsname - videoname for the structure.

 

Random play all shuffle is a very important feature (for me anyways) for this library.
