kingy444 117 Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 I am planning to go through my library and update all the network images that are missing a station logo. My question is, where does emby pull these from? I understand i could just fix them on my side, but figure if i am doing it why not upload them to the source to fix it for everyone. I had a look on thetvdb but couldn't see a section for it. Any help is appreciated.

kingy444 117 Posted February 3, 2017 Author Posted February 3, 2017 (edited) Thanks. So if i upload there, will my emby be able to get them on a library refresh, or need to wait until the next update is pushed out to get the new folder contents? edit: also just noticed i need push access to the repository. Is this possible? how do you prefer to have them added to the repository? I can create the relative folder structure, zip and send for you to upload if you prefer? Edited February 4, 2017 by kingy444
Luke 42083 Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 There's a specific process you have to follow to contribute there. We had the instructions here on the forum. i'll have to see if i can find them. thanks.
kingy444 117 Posted February 4, 2017 Author Posted February 4, 2017 Looks like this might be it: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/3406-studio-images-project/page-2 So if I understand, I need to fork it, make my changes, then submit a pull request. One of the admins can then accept the pull and thats how the images will get into the library?
kingy444 117 Posted February 4, 2017 Author Posted February 4, 2017 Thanks for the help. I've gone through and done all that (first time using github) and think ive put it through properly for review. Thanks again
Luke 42083 Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Ok, thanks for the submission. the problem is that they're not all 16*9 resolution. If I merge this in the apps will assume they're 16*9 and then people are going to report problems about that.
kingy444 117 Posted February 4, 2017 Author Posted February 4, 2017 Thanks. they should all be 1066x600 now
kingy444 117 Posted February 6, 2017 Author Posted February 6, 2017 @@Luke Now that the images are on the master on github, how do you get them into emby. I tried using search but nothing is returned. Do you need to wait for the next release?
Happy2Play 9783 Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Well a Refresh on the Network got a image for me. But yes search yielded no results for me either. Tested on Freeform.
kingy444 117 Posted February 6, 2017 Author Posted February 6, 2017 Tested refresh now aswell. That works. Just the search is an issue
kingy444 117 Posted February 6, 2017 Author Posted February 6, 2017 @@Luke I started work on studio images, and have come accross a few that have a '/' in the name. Below are a few examples i grabbed quickly Block / Hanson Boies / Schiller Film Group Bord Scannan na hEireann / Irish Film Board MY question is how does emby treat this character given that it is illegal in windows filenames i cant use it in the folder name?
Happy2Play 9783 Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 (edited) The folder will drop the character. Not an issue like actors. Movies metadata contains "/" just like title. Edited February 6, 2017 by Happy2Play
