Luke 42080 Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 this file is missing media info, probably due to your earlier ffmpeg issues. try refreshing it from the detail screen to fill the media info, then play it again and see if it's any different. thanks.

Luke 42080 Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 yes, from a top level folder using the metadata manager.
thejacer87 9 Posted February 11, 2017 Author Posted February 11, 2017 yes, from a top level folder using the metadata manager. hey i figured i would post this here instead of making a new thread since its pretty much the same issue. my web client won't play this movie, but my phone does. its a full bluray file (>30gb) and my server isnt very hefty so i think its just having difficulties transcoding... ffmpeg -version ffmpeg version N-83189-gd5d474aea5-static http://johnvansickle.com/ffmpeg/ Copyright (c) 2000-2017 the FFmpeg developers built with gcc 5.4.1 (Debian 5.4.1-4) 20161202 configuration: --enable-gpl --enable-version3 --enable-static --disable-debug --disable-ffplay --disable-indev=sndio --disable-outdev=sndio --cc=gcc-5 --enable-fontconfig --enable-frei0r --enable-gnutls --enable-gray --enable-libass --enable-libfreetype --enable-libfribidi --enable-libmp3lame --enable-libopencore-amrnb --enable-libopencore-amrwb --enable-libopenjpeg --enable-libopus --enable-librtmp --enable-libsoxr --enable-libspeex --enable-libtheora --enable-libvidstab --enable-libvo-amrwbenc --enable-libvorbis --enable-libvpx --enable-libwebp --enable-libx264 --enable-libx265 --enable-libxvid --enable-libzimg libavutil 55. 44.100 / 55. 44.100 libavcodec 57. 75.100 / 57. 75.100 libavformat 57. 62.100 / 57. 62.100 libavdevice 57. 2.100 / 57. 2.100 libavfilter 6. 69.100 / 6. 69.100 libswscale 4. 3.101 / 4. 3.101 libswresample 2. 4.100 / 2. 4.100 libpostproc 54. 2.100 / 54. 2.100 Log.txt transcode.txt
Luke 42080 Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Actually that looks like an error on our ffmpeg command line. as a test, can you try disabling subtitles and see if that has any impact? thanks.
thejacer87 9 Posted February 12, 2017 Author Posted February 12, 2017 Actually that looks like an error on our ffmpeg command line. as a test, can you try disabling subtitles and see if that has any impact? thanks. i thought subtitle might be an issue (you had mentioned it b4), but i cant, the movie poster shows up, with the loading circle. but no control interface pops up... unless there is way to turn off subtitles somewhere else than during playback
thejacer87 9 Posted February 12, 2017 Author Posted February 12, 2017 Yes in user settings playback is working now. so my cpu just cant handle rendering the subtitles too then? i find it funny that the cpu can transcode a 30gb file but not render some text lol

thejacer87 9 Posted February 12, 2017 Author Posted February 12, 2017 glad i could help find some bugs 1
thejacer87 9 Posted February 16, 2017 Author Posted February 16, 2017 (edited) Actually that looks like an error on our ffmpeg command line. hey man, getting some more errors, think it has to do with the 1080p file not transcoding for some reason on my ipad. pretty sure ive watched other 1080p videos though, so i dunno. edit: ya just checked. and i can watch other 1080p videos, so i have no idea why it wont work. definitely refreshed the metadata a few times... also, plz lemme know if you would prefer i make new threads for stuff like this... not sure its a different issue so i thought it best to update this thread Log.txt transcode.txt Edited February 16, 2017 by thejacer87

Luke 42080 Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Ok, I'm not sure what the answer is right now. You're just going to have to turn off NVENC. It's an experimental feature and we're all working together in the community to improve it, but it is still experimental at this stage.
thejacer87 9 Posted February 17, 2017 Author Posted February 17, 2017 (edited) Ok, I'm not sure what the answer is right now. You're just going to have to turn off NVENC.
