Library Scan never completes

Hello guys,

Having issues running Emby media server on windows 10... the lib scan freezes at 68% every time I do a scan. I have tried everything I can think of and I have done the following I have read on this forum.

- Deleted all plugins

- Installed emby up to its current beta version.

- Done countless restarts(full hardware reboots etc).

Anyone got any futher suggestions?

I have attached a few of my latest logs for reference.

Thanks

And how long did you allow it to process?

I think at first it was 3 days at least before I noticed the scan had stopped

Quick update. I deleted the library.db file(well moved it) and attempted to rebuild my library........ and its got stuck again. Any ideas?

Getting pretty desperate for input now as its driving me nuts lol.

well how large is the library you're scanning and what's the content?

Most of the time I've had this issue I fixed it by disabling image extraction during library scans.  You can find the option by clicking on each of your video libraries.  It's the last option in the list and it's library-specific so you need to check it in all your libraries containing video files.

Its around 6TB.....

and growing daily.

OKay cheers. Im sure I did that by default when after the last time I deleted the .db file, but I can try that, thanks.

yeah 6TB is not large at all.  Same size as mine, same content, and I have no issues... completes in a couple hours.

why is there so much activity on your server while you're trying to add libraries?  I see a bunch of connections trying to do stuff at the same time.

Let me look into that.

i would suggest reducing your library setup to one library, see if the scan completes. then add another library. report your findings and we'll see if there is something we can look into. thanks.
