Joshua B 1 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 We use Media Browser 3 Classic on an HTPC. I have an account with a robust password. I use the account for logging in remotely over the internet, outside of my LAN, to tweak the Media Browser setup. The other account is the one my wife and I use to watch our stuff at home on the TV. There is no password on this account. It would be nice if I could set this account as hidden from the internet. In other words, it would be nice if this account was not available when logging in to www.whatever.com:8096/mediabrowser/dashboard/ Any workarounds? Obviously it's not safe for me to have an account with no password requirement available to anyone on the internet that might find the URL to my Media Browser setup. But it's not convenient to enter a password everytime we use Media Browser to watch stuff at home. How should I do what I want to do? Or how should I do it differently?
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 1. Hide the profile from log-in screens by editing the profile on the server. 2. Set the log-in as the default or remembered log-in in the client. You may have to log-in with your profile and switch within the client. 2
Joshua B 1 Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 "Hide this user from login screens" - I assume this is what you're talking about in #1? If I do this, then this login is no longer accessible. I don't see the point.

ebr 16169 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Hide the administrative one. This will hide it from MBC. Then, under Users->Security set the option for the mobile clients to require manual log-in.
