More options for emby scheduled tasks

I think this has been raise before and thought I would bring it to light again.

Would it be possible to have some checks added as optional before running scheduled emby tasks e.g before running library scan every 15mins (which seems to be responsible for listing newly added media if you select "monitor in real time" at the folder library level) ping xyz DNS name or I.p and of reply continue with scan or if no reply try again from step 1 at next scheduled interval.

This way those of us with remote storage that auto powers off when not at home don't get all their media art messed up (makes Emby look ugly and not finished) when the scheduled scan runs and finds no media (during day others use live tv from Emby but not remote stored media).
