Amazon firestick

Hi guys,

 

New to all this and its great to see a good forum helping people.

 

Question,

 

I have an amazon firestick and i have just installed emby on it via the app store. I was told to register first and give my username to my server provider so i can be set-up, but only option i get to log in is with a pin when open the app?

 

Is this correct and all i have to give is my pin not my username?

 

Sorry but all new to me and hopefully i can get some advice

If you are using a server from a friend, then you need either get an address for that server from them and a local user setup or use Emby Connect (the PIN process) and have the Server admin add you (your ID/email on this forum) as a guest user.

 

What you then do with the PIN should be explained right there on the screen that is showing it to you.

Yeah I'm connecting to a friend's server and he wants my username which I have got, but amazon when open app just comes up with the pin ready by the looks. I presume this is correct then to do this? Also dies it run fine in the firestick to do you know?

Yes, and it runs fine on the firestick.

Yes, just follow the instructions on the screen and enter the PIN.  Then hit "Next".
