Sort By "Date Added" Issue

I recently installed the auto box set plugin, works great. I also have the group movies into collection checked. Problem is if you sort the movies by date it shows all the collection first as being just added. The collection if it is going to have a date should be the date of the last movie added in the collection.

Hope I'm not interfering but FYI, in Chrome if I sort by Date Added it works, click Refresh and it back to sorting by Name (default). If I choose Sort Order and Descending its fine, click Refresh and its back to Ascending (default). Sort by Date Added and Descending its fine, Click Refresh and its back to.....default.

 

It sticks a bit better in Movies and TV.

Sorry it is date added. I know what it is doing, it considers the date added for the "collection" as the date I started using Auto Box Set. I guess going forward it will not me a problem for new collection, but for all the old ones it doesn't work very well. The movies in the collection might have been added 5 years ago but it shows the date the collection was added as a couple of days ago.

I see what you mean.  If I installed Auto Boxset plugin today all Collections would be grouped together when you sort by date added.

 

@@ebr is there a way to use the premiere date of the first movie in a collection as the Date Added?

 

example of issue with plugin and date added  - Deleted folders from data/collection went to plugin and clicked Refresh Box Sets.

There is another property for sort that we use for this but it has been kind of "unimplemented" in the API while we've been doing performance improvements.  Eventually, that should return.
