Ombi for Emby

Recommended Posts

Posted

Guys, what settings are recommended? Early access preview, dev, stable? Or is this version the most recent Ombi for Emby https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/44267-ombi-for-emby/&do=findComment&comment=414788 ?

Reason is that Ombi shows me an update in EAP branch. Is it safe to update to 2.1.1393? And can I download from within the website?

So stable currently doesn't support Emby.

Early Access Preview I would recommend as there is Emby support and more stable than dev, if you want bleeding edge then dev ;)

Thanks mate, recognized that the Appveyor link contains the actual zip.

BTW this tool is so cool that I thought it's worth building an own Web page for my nginx reverse proxy.

Anyway to use this without a sever? thats the one item i don't have.

Where do you run your Emby server?

My question exactly... :)

You don't need an Emby server to run Ombi, as it plugs into others services as well.

The DEV branch works fine :)

What is the likelihood of a QPKG version of Ombi once the Emby Server support is part of the main branch? Currently run Emby/Sonarr/Radarr all native on the QNAP which is pretty handy :)

thoughts?

Usually once a new release goes out Stephane at QNAP is pretty quick in updating the QPKG. See here: https://forum.qnap.com/viewtopic.php?f=320&t=121568

Last from my side to be able to review my server behaviour. When activating newsletter, should it also inform for newly added episodes of series or just whole series and movies?

When I first set up Ombi, I sent a test mail and it contained I guess my whole collection. New everytime Ombi sends the newsletter, it contains no series or movies. But I just added a new episode of a series.

So the whole collection bit, that was expected.

Regarding episodes, you need to make sure Episode Searching is enabled in the settings, Ombi will be able to detect which episodes have been added then.

It will appear like:

The series with episodes added beneath it.

Perfect! Thanks Tidusjar :) I have so many of the QNAP forum threads now that I follow to grab the latest QPKG, its great. Looks like development is coming along quite well for the Emby integration, lots of great input :)

Yeah you can install it on your laptop,

Here is the .zip: https://ci.appveyor.com/project/tidusjar/requestplex/build/2.1.1401/artifacts

Follow one of these guides depending on your OS: https://github.com/tidusjar/Ombi/wiki

Depends on the OS, Once the Ombi folder is there, there is an executable called Ombi.exe. You need to run that, it is self hosting, so once that .exe is run then it will be hosted on port 3579.

Did you follow this guide:http://www.htpcguides.com/install-plex-requests-net-windows-system-service/

and download the zip file from here:https://ci.appveyor.....1401/artifacts ?

Once the zip has been downloaded, unblock the zip file and then extract it somewhere.

Go into the extracted folder and run Ombi.exe

Can you run the .exe rather than the service? There seems to be an error and the .exe will tell you what the error is.
