Question about collections

Recommended Posts

Does the metedata manager show all three movies.

My guess is the server grouped them as one movie since they are in the same subfolder.

All my collection are by subfolders, all movies are correct except these.

Metadata only show one movie.

Plex for example, is possible to separate movies.

Emby has abandoned nest collections folders and prefers flat folder structure.  But if those movies where in their own folders it would work as expected.

Should subfolder/nested single file movies still be identified as individual movie and not as additional parts to first identified movie in folder?

They would be individual movies.

They would be individual movies.

Then there is a issue with identifying additional movies.  See screenshot in post #24 for structure.  Only first movie is identified and other two are added as additional parts.

I verified this on test machine and got same results, but if I put movies in their own folders everything worked.

This particular example is resolved for the next release of Emby Server, thanks.

hi again @Happy2Play

i think i found the problem, the Red Riding collection only show was 1 movie + 2 parts but they are 3 diferent movies in same year

Red Riding: In the Year of Our Lord 1974(2009)

Red Riding: In the Year of Our Lord 1980(2009)

Red Riding: In the Year of Our Lord 1983 (2009)

The Red Riding Trilogy (2009)

Maybe are more with same problem.

Tested and verified this stacked file issue is resolved in the beta branch.
