rsaxman 0 Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 I'm having a major brain fart and could use a little help. I just added a new folder for the first time in a while and cant get it to look like the rest of them. All my folders display as the posters dressed up with some cover art. The new folder has the suggested, all movies, collections, favorites, continue watching, etc. I know there is a way (obviously since I have done it before) to change how the folder displays, but for the life of me cant remember. THanks
Guest asrequested Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 Are you talking about a new library? Can you give more detail and possibly some screenshots?
rsaxman 0 Posted January 23, 2017 Author Posted January 23, 2017 yes a new library This is how it normally looks and this is how the new library looks I can't remember how to change it. Ive looked through all the setting options Thanks
Guest asrequested Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 (edited) Have you looked at homescreen settings? Home page setup. From the dashboard user icon. Edited January 23, 2017 by Doofus
rsaxman 0 Posted January 24, 2017 Author Posted January 24, 2017 Click on all movies Sure, but I don't have to do that with any other library.
Guest asrequested Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 How have you configure the library? Maybe these are the droids you're looking for?
Abobader 3464 Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 Good day, I think what you looking for as "folder" view, enable that at the library - display, then from the top menu at the client, click on folder. I do not know if any other settings for that, or maybe I misunderstand the issue. My best
Marc_G 95 Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 (edited) Also I found with help that it matters a lot whether the library type is set. If set to say Movies or TV it does a fancier view and if left unset it shows the simple poster view I prefer. Edited January 29, 2017 by Marc_G
rsaxman 0 Posted January 28, 2017 Author Posted January 28, 2017 So as of this morning all my libraries have changed. This is really frustrating

rsaxman 0 Posted January 28, 2017 Author Posted January 28, 2017 (edited) See pic 2 above. All my libraries used to open to the view all movies screen by default (pic 1). Now they all open to as seen in pic 2 by default. I haven't changed a thing in the server side Edited January 28, 2017 by rsaxman

rsaxman 0 Posted January 29, 2017 Author Posted January 29, 2017 Yes I have tried folder view. It doesn't change anything on Emby Theater
rsaxman 0 Posted January 29, 2017 Author Posted January 29, 2017 Also I found with help that it matters a lot whether the library type is set. If set to say Movies or TV it does a fancier view and if left under it does the simple poster view I prefer. This gave me the result I wanted. Thanks! Still doesn't explain why all my existing libraries changed overnight. Server update perhaps? Now I have to delete all my libraries and remake them
joshhuggins 22 Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Had my views switched to the newer style on me too. It used to be something I could set in each users account via the web interface but for the life of me I can't find it now. I removed my libraries (because we can't change the type even though there is an option too?) and created new libraries with the content type set to Unset (Mixed Content) as suggested above and it's working all plain and simple now for me too. Thanks guys!
