joaorsfonseca 1 Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 Hi guys.. I've an android box running Kodi and i want to play movies without transcoding them on the server since my box has capabilities of doing by herself. What i want to know is how can i managed it! I've already set setting "Play from HTTP instead of SMB" to false but when i try to play the movie it says that it cannot find the path D:\MOVIES\MOVIE.mkv. Should i start sharing my folders, and add them to my library instead of local folders? Which user should be granted with at least read permissions on my shares? Thanks guys!!
xnappo 1611 Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 (edited) You need to specify the path as a network share on the server instead of pointing to a local drive. EG: \\mycomputer\d\movies Edited January 20, 2017 by xnappo
