mbutcha 1 Posted January 18, 2017 Posted January 18, 2017 Hi there It's the first time I've installed emby on my windows PC and shared content (music and home pictures & videos). When adding the add on onto my kodi I can see it has sync the music library and they play fine. It is when I try to view my photos via photos menu - emby. It only display network credentials as the top item and the other item. It no where to view my photos. I installed the app on my iPhone and it shows my photos straight away and quick to display them Any idea ? Also the £3.99 to unlock the playback of videos is that under profile or do I have to do this for each device (including kodi ) If i added my movies on here also would that appear and add to kodi library or would I have the same issue as I do with pictures (and would I need to pay extra?) Sorry for the many questions but you know what it is like when you get something new!! Thanks.
mbutcha 1 Posted January 20, 2017 Author Posted January 20, 2017 Hi Just following on from my post above - I have tested and just selected the content of Photos and these now display on kodi addon. seems to be confusing to have to have both (Home videos & Photos , & Photo's) I dont want to have to go into two different places to just view the videos that are contain in the same folder as the photos am i missing something or doing something wrong? Cheers
mbutcha 1 Posted January 23, 2017 Author Posted January 23, 2017 Hi There am I the only one experiencing this behavior!?!? Cheers
PhyberApex 16 Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 Also the £3.99 to unlock the playback of videos is that under profile or do I have to do this for each device (including kodi ) You have to options here: Subscription which enables your server to stream to up to 10(?) devices. Or you can unlock the App which is a one time buy but only works for this specific device. The Kodi plugin does not need a premium version tho. As for the other problems I am having trouble understanding what exactly it is you are asking for. ~Cheers
mbutcha 1 Posted January 28, 2017 Author Posted January 28, 2017 Hi ya Thanks for the response and apologies for the delay. I'm not surprised you didn't understand my other query. I have just reread it and even I don't understand it!! Basically on my emby kodi addon I click on photos I can see them all there but that is because I have had to add media and select the content as photos. Originally I added my photo directory using "home videos and photos" and selected the content to be home video and photos as I knew it contained videos as well. Well on my iPhone when I click on "home videos and photos" they are all there but on kodi add on they don't display photos or videos (basically blank). Hope that make sense ! 1

I am trying to figure out why my "home videos and photos" not shown in pictures add-on, I cleared and synced many times, When I am going to give up, I found your post. I will create a pure pictures library and try it again. If it is a limitation, hope it mentioned in the install guide.
arrbee99 1815 Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Not sure if I should add this here or start another thread, but it seems to be related to pictures / photos. In Kodi/Emby for Kodi I get something like this for Movies... But in Pictures I only get... and I have to drill down a few levels to get to actual photos.... I think its related to the OP's post - should it be like this ?
